Pacers restaurant serves a varied menu throughout the year. January Gems are cheaper two course meal deals that allows the many tourists who visit Newcastle and our local patrons a chance to sample Pacers restaurant in a slightly different format at reduced prices, children's prices are cheaper. February to June is Ala carte. July is our fabulous Xmas in July Buffet. August through to October is Ala carte while November and December is our Xmas buffet which includes succulent seafood on the buffet and hot finger foods served to your table as a starter. Pacers restaurant can cater for approx 300 people. Visions function room which is located on the mezzanine level of the grandstand can cater for approx 80 to 100 people. Both venues are available for bookings on non race nights as well.
A full range of function menus are available for any style of event. All catering is prepared on site by our chef. Only the freshest of ingredients are used.
Restaurant prices till end of 2008 {except 27th December which will be cheaper 2 course meal}. Please note due to increase in cost of goods and labour a price increase will occur in Pacers restaurant from1st February 2009.
A $10 per head deposit is required to confirm your booking - deposits and final payments can be made in person at the offices of the Newcastle Harness racing club or over the phone. Master card - Bank card and Visa are accepted.
In the cooler months soup is included on the menu - for the buffet it is self serve. Ala carte is served to your table. Prices vary for our Melbourne Cup day meeting and for our Christmas menu in November and December where hot finger foods are served as starters to your table and the seafood is self serve from the buffet.

PACERS RESTAURANT has a variety of menus throughout the year
with a mixture of Ala carte and buffet. November and December is
buffet. January is a cafeteria style meal at reduced prices and
different styles such as Italian night , Aussie BBQ night ,
Snitzel, fish prawn cutlet night, Mexican etc. Dress regulations are
also relaxed in January. Ala carte returns in February
